Professional Me

Mike Jenkins

I have been working within educational IT for many years now, and have always enjoyed the challenge that the school environment brings with the constantly changing face of education.  Schools are a unique environment with very different challenges from working in IT in mainstream industry. As schools are being stretched to deliver an ever more IT reliant & complex curriculum with an ever shrinking budget I have had to make sure that the solutions I put in place deliver value for money and also have the longevity to last in what can be quite a rough environment for the equipment.

I would like to think of myself as an educational IT specialist who looks for solutions to problems that actually exist, and place IT where it is needed and required, rather than jumping on the latest gadget just to say that I have one.
